Frequently asked questions of the City Attorney's Office

Need information regarding Municipal Court/Citations/Parking Tickets?

Call the Municipal Court Clerk's Office at 471-8488.

Want to know what City ordinance or resolution applies to your question?

Procedure for discussing citations.

If you want to discuss your citation with the City Attorney, please come at 5:00 PM on your SCHEDULED COURT DATE ONLY, sign in, and you will be called by number starting at 5:00 PM.

Procedure for filing a claim.

If you believe you have a claim against the City, obtain a claim form from the City Clerk's office, fill it out, and hand in to City Clerk's Office.

Learn the procedure followed by the City on parking tickets.

Parking Tickets are ONLY handled by the Municipal Court Judge on a Monday or Wednesday when Court is held at 7725 West North Avenue, Wauwatosa, at 5:30 PM.  Be seated in the Council Chambers and wait for the Judge to announce that parking tickets will be heard.
