Public Works Department Overview of Services

The Public Works Department, also known as the Engineering and Operations Department consists of  the following Divisions:

• Engineering Services Division 
• Fleet and Maintenance Division
• Public Works Operations Division 
• Parks and Forestry Division

The Engineering and Operations Department administers all engineering and various public works activities of the city in accordance with the directives of the Common Council.  The Department has over 100 employees some of whom are seasonal workers.  It has a $12 million operating budget and a $3.5 Million annual capital budget.   A 5-year capital plan is produced annually.
