Samson Stop and Romp

The Zoo's favorite winter tradition is back! For this 46th running of the Milwaukee County Zoo’s Samson Stomp & Romp, participants are invited to join the Zoo for the race they know and love.

The race honors one of the Zoo’s most famous and beloved residents, Samson, the silverback gorilla (1950-1981). Money raised from the event supports all of the animals in the Zoo’s population.

Choose From Three Races

5K Competitive Run - (Total spaces: 1,500)
(Start Time: 9:30 a.m.)

  • Individual Registrant: $35.00
  • Team Registrant: $30.00

2-Mile Fun Run/Walk
(Start Time: 10:15 a.m.)

  • Individual Registrant: $35.00
  • Team Registrant: $30.00

1-Mile Romp for Children
(Start Time: 10:45 a.m.)

  • Individual Registrant: $20.00
  • Team Registrant: $20.00
