World Migratory Bird Celebration

Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with a birding experience at the Forest Exploration Center on Saturday, May 23, beginning at 7:30 am! The Forest Exploration Center provides a one mile walking path and 67 acres of critical habitat to over 158 observed bird species. This year’s theme is "Every Bird Counts - Your Observations Matter" so the FEC’s Birdcount Team, “The Songbird Squad”, will be joining to conduct bird counts.  Our guide will be Chuck Hagner, who is the author of the American Birding Association Field Guide to Birds of Wisconsin (2019) and two other books about birds and bird watching. He’s also the former editor of BirdWatching magazine and the former director of Bird City Wisconsin. We’re delighted to have him lead this bird walk and share his expertise!.
