Historian as Bette Davis, WWC Annual Lunch

Celebrated Hollywood actress Bette Davis will live again at the Wauwatosa Woman's Club annual May Luncheon at noon on Thursday, May 16. Leslie Goddard, an award-winning actress and scholar, will portray the witty and sharp film star. This historical interpreter has been portraying famous women and making presentations for more than 10 years. Few actresses in the history of film rival the longevity and appeal of Bette Davis. In such classic films as Jezebel, Dark Victory and All About Eve, Bette Davis created a new kind of film heroine: strong, powerful, romantic and even wicked. Leslie‚Äôs portrayal reveals Davis as the ultimate star in the golden age of Hollywood. Leslie holds a doctorate from Northwestern University specializing in United States history and American Studies, as well as master's degrees in both theater and museum studies.
