3 Great Things in Tosa: August
Great things are always happening in Tosa. Each month we highlight our favorites.
Here are three great things in Tosa this August:
1. Construction season is winding down, and we finished a significant section of road on North Avenue. Specifically, we resurfaced the road and updated curb ramps. This section of North Avenue (118th St. to Mayfair Rd.) was originally constructed in 1958 and resurfaced in 1988. The Department of Transportation also resurfaced the area near the I-41 ramp as part of the Zoo Interchange project. You can subscribe to emails related to specific construction projects (such as the Village Reconstruction) or construction in general.

2. You submitted over 160 photos in the second annual #TosaLife Photo Contest! Winners in four categories will be announced in early September.
3. Our Fire Department, first responders, and Water Department earned a prestigious rating for their services. The Insurance Services Office (ISO) Public Protection Classification rating of Class 1reflects our community's commitment to having skilled firefighters and responders, excellent response times, sufficient water supply to all neighborhoods, and significant fire prevention activities.
