Applications for 2019 Hartwork Project now open
Public Art in Hart Park will return in 2019. Artists, you have until November 25 to apply.
Calling all artists! The application period for the 2019 Hartwork Project is now open. You can apply now until November 25.
We heard a lot of great feedback on our first year of the Hartwork Project, and we're excited to bring it back again next year. The project involves the installation of several pieces of art in Hart Park by area artists. All artists are encouraged to apply whether they have existing artwork they'd like to display, or if they have a design idea they'd like to propose for the park.
Like this year, we will once again have public voting to determine the winners after the initial field of candidates has been narrowed down.
A few quick notes about who is eligible:
- Artists must be age 18 or older
- Experience in outdoor art installation is preferred, but not required
- Artists who have experience interacting with the community are encourage to apply
Applications are due by November 25, 2018, and the finalists for public voting will be notified by January 18, 2019. The winners of the public vote will be announced on March 25, and installation will be set for May 4.
If you would like to apply or would like more information about the project, please refer to the 2019 Hartwork Project Application
