Two Brief Construction Updates

Post Date:10/19/2018 8:30 AM

Walnut and 119th St.

Starting Tuesday, October 23, for 1-3 weeks, the intersection of Walnut and 119th St. will be fully closed for water main work.

If you take Walnut Rd to access the Police Station or the Drop Off Center, simply proceed to the next street (118th) to access Walnut Rd. again.

Center St. between 65th  and 76th

Our subcontractors are expected to finish the City of Wauwatosa work on Center St. by the end of next week (October 26). Read about the project. They have the curb ramps at 75th Street and the North Side of 74th and 73rd Street remaining to complete.

Following our project, we expect the City of Milwaukee to move in and begin their curb ramp reconstruction. Once the City of Milwaukee finishes their curb ramp reconstruction, the road will be paved. The City of Milwaukee has Center Street as a high priority for paving this fall. The new crosswalk configurations at 73rd and 74th will be painted as part of the final pavement marking after the road is repaved.
