New Date for Tosa Log Cabin Move

The 5000 sq ft structure will be moved at night
Post Date:02/27/2019 8:00 AM

The property at 2515 N. Wauwatosa Avenue, also known as the Tosa Log Cabin, is scheduled to be relocated the night of March 13, weather-dependent. The log cabin is being moved to 6404 W. North Avenue. It will be in position before the morning commute.

There will be no parking on North Avenue from Wauwatosa Avenue to 63rd St. starting at 8pm on Wednesday, March 13 through 7 am Thursday, March 14.

If you haven't seen a move like this before, it is quite a sight to see. The cabin is around 5000 square feet and will be moved in its entirety. You can anticipate a rolling street closure on North Avenue, but our Fire and Police Departments will still be able to get to you in case of an emergency.

You can expect to see work crews in the weeks following the move as they secure the foundation and building in its new place.

The Gallatin Apartments are scheduled to be developed at 2515 N Wauwatosa Avenue.
