Great things are always happening in Tosa. Each month we highlight our favorites.

Here are three great things in Tosa this January:

1. The Hartwork Project is an annual public art initiative that brings three sculptures on temporary display to Hart Park in summer. Voting is open now until February 20. So far, you've voted over 1,200 times. You get to choose which top two sculptures you'd like to see installed.

2. We publish city news and resources in a variety of ways. Here are three significant publications to follow:

The City Newsletter is a quarterly update of what's happening in Wauwatosa. We update you on construction, feature upgrades to city services, and remind you of seasonal items to consider as a resident or business in the neighborhood.

The Financial Snapshot is a brief document with feature stories about the City’s budget. Look at how Wauwatosa’s tax rate compares to comparable municipalities, learn what taxes go towards, and see Wauwatosa by the numbers.

The Resident Guide is a one-stop shop of city basics. There is an A-Z listing of topics, explanation of our neighborhoods and businesses, and contact information for various services. It’s posted on our website, and we also plan to distribute it to realtors, Human Resources professionals who recruit for Wauwatosa businesses, and others who might find it useful.

3. We had some major snow events in January, and our Public Works crew helps keep our roads safe in each one. There are times we have 16 or 24 snow plow truck drivers out at a time. Each pass through Wauwatosa is at least 368 miles. Thanks for helping out by moving your car off the street, placing your garbage bin in your driveway apron, or just waving. We care about our streets and sidewalks as much as you do.
