Landscaping in Hart Park

Perennials, native plants, and low-maintenance improvements to Wauwatosa's largest city park
Post Date:04/12/2019 11:39 AM

Our Forestry Department will be landscaping around the Muellner Building, Parks Administration Building, and near the Rotary Stage in Hart Park. Our goal is to install more perennials and native plants where appropriate. Some plants require less maintenance to Hart Park's landscaping.

Our team will be working on this project throughout spring and summer 2019.

Hart Park is one of the most visited locations in Wauwatosa. The perennials mean that our staff will not have to plant as many annuals each year, and often the daily or weekly maintenance will be less for these perennials. Also, some of the perennials we are planting are hardier, so that they can better survive weather and the high number of visitors in the area.
