2100 Apartments Receives Award for Green Infrastructure

Their green infrastructure can manage nearly 20,000 gallons of runoff each time it rains

The Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District awarded the 2100 Apartments in Wauwatosa a Green Luminary award for outstanding green infrastructure projects that help protect Lake Michigan. Through a combination of a green roof, permeable pavers, stormwater trees, and native plantings, the project can manage nearly 20,000 gallons of runoff each time it rains.

These efforts help protect our rivers and Lake Michigan by harvesting rainfall for other uses or by mimicking nature and draining it into the ground to reduce water pollution.
