Committees meet this week to discuss restrictions on fireworks issued to non-governmental entities, electronic smoking devices, and removing fines on children's library materials
Standing Council Committees meet at City Hall in the Committee meeting rooms located on the 2nd floor on the second and last Tuesday of each month. Committee start times can vary. All meetings are open to the public. Public comment is welcome in discussions at the committee level at the discretion of the committee chair.

Notable topics during the week of July 8 include:
- Government Affairs (July 9, 6:30 pm) will review possible changes to limits on sale of liquor for off-premises consumption, restrictions on fireworks issued to non-governmental entities, and protective services for the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center.
- Transportation Affairs (July 9, 6:30 pm) will discuss parking changes to various streets after traffic studies were conducted.
- Community Affairs (July 9, 7:30 pm) will review proposed changed related to electronic smoking devices, a request to connect a new structure at Pinelawn Memorial Park to the City of Wauwatosa sanitary sewer, and the 2020 budget related to removing fines on overdue children's library materials.
- Financial Affairs (July 9, 7:30 pm) will hear presentations about the 2018 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and Audit, deferred maintenance related to the Civic Center, and high-level budget gap strategies.
