Wauwatosa Resident Survey
A sampling of residents will receive a survey about city services, the value of Wauwatosa as a place to live, and other questions
Residents are being randomly selected to participate in a resident survey. If you are selected, you will receive a survey with a cover letter from the Mayor in the mail in the next few weeks.
We ask questions about the level of satisfaction with city services, the value of Wauwatosa as a place to live, and various quality of life indicators.
Our city staff will compare survey results from previous resident surveys to identify trends and significant changes.
Purpose of Survey
We gather input from residents throughout the year on a wide variety of topics. The data from this survey is different. This input is collected using a methodology that allows the city to generalize the findings to Wauwatosa's entire adult population. A scientific survey is an important tool because it gives us information for long-term planning on improving existing programs, services, and future investments.
To conduct this survey, we have selected ETC Institute, one of the nation's leading local government research firms. They have conducted scientifically-valid surveys for hundreds of cities and counties nationwide.
The survey results will be presented to elected officials at a Common Council meeting. The public is welcome to attend or view a video of the meeting online.
