Tosa Green Summit is September 7

Shredding, medication drop off, sustainability vendors, and hazardous waste drop off all in one spot

tosa green summitCircle Saturday, September 7, 2019 in your calendar for all of your recycling and sustainability needs. There are three events happening simultaneously at City Hall (7725 W North Avenue) parking lot and inside the building:

The Tosa Green Summit (10 am - 1 pm inside the Lower Civic Center) is a free informational open house to learn how you can make your community green and sustainable. Over 25 exhibitors will provide education on topics ranging from home energy, conservation, water, gardening, transportation, and food.

The Wauwatosa Health and Police Departments are hosting collections (8 am - 2 pm in the parking lot) for

  • shredding
  • electronic recycling (VCR, DVD & CD players, cameras/camcorders, cell phones, wall mount phones, radios, fans, microwave and toaster ovens, laptops, keyboards, mice, and computer towers. They are not accepting TVs or computer monitors at this event.)
  • expired or unused medicine
  • new, old, or broken bicycle donations through Dream Bike’s bicycles

Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD) is collecting hazardous waste (8 am - 2 pm in the parking lot), such as antifreeze, paint, gasoline, lighter fluid, varnish,  aerosol cans, pesticides, and other products. See a list of what they can accept.
