City Clerk Retires from City of Wauwatosa
Carla Ledesma retires after 34 years with the City of Wauwatosa
Carla Ledesma started her career as Deputy City Clerk with the City of Wauwatosa in 1985 and took on the responsibilities of City Clerk in 1998.
During her tenure, she implemented two state-wide election softwares, led two redistricting committees after the 2000 and 2010 Census, conducted 43 elections, and clerked numerous Common Council and Committee meetings. (We didn't do the math, but that is a lot of meetings.)
She has been an active member of the Wisconsin Municipal Clerks Association since 1990 and served on the Elections Committee for many years. In 1992, she successfully completed the 3-year coursework to be certified by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks.
Thank you, Carla, for your many years of service to staff elected officials, and residents of Wauwatosa.
