How to register to vote
You can register at the City Clerk's office (Monday through Friday, 8 am - 4:30 pm on normal business days). You'll need proof of residence, such as a current and valid Wisconsin Driver's license or Wisconsin identification card, current utility bill, residential lease, or other identification card. See a list of what applies as proof of residence.

- Partisan Primary - August 11, 2020
- General and Presidential Election - November 3, 2020
Note: there are no upcoming elections in 2019.
How do I run for office?
In 2020, Wauwatosa will have eight aldermanic positions and a mayoral position on the April 7, 2020 ballot. People considering running for office have to live in the city and/or aldermanic district for which they are running. A potential candidate has to submit nomination papers, declaration of candidacy, and a campaign registration statement with the City Clerk's office by January 7, 2020.
