Wisconsin Avenue will soon close for utility and street improvements from 72nd Street to the west of 68th Street. Additionally, 70th Street will close from Wisconsin Avenue to Bluemound Road. During the summer, the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and 68th Street is expected to be closed for construction. Construction is expected to start the week of March 31, 2025, and work will be completed in phases.

Phase 1: Wisconsin Avenue is expected to close from 72nd Street to west of 68th Street on Monday, March 31. Access to Wisconsin Avenue will be provided to local residents throughout this phase of construction. 70th Street from Wisconsin Avenue to Bluemound Road may also close for construction.

Phase 2: The intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and 68th Street will close for construction in mid-June. While the intersection is closed, the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and 70th Street is anticipated to be open to north and south traffic. Access to Wisconsin Avenue will be provided to local residents throughout this phase of construction.

Phase 3: 70th Street from Wisconsin Avenue to Bluemound Road will close for construction. Access to 70th Street will be provided to local residents throughout this phase of the project.

Weather permitting, we anticipate this project to be completed by the end of October 2025.
