Starting today, Monday, June 30, contractors have begun moving equipment to Center Street. The Center Street improvement project will soon begin. 

During construction, Center Street will close from 118th Street to 111th Street, with access to local traffic only (including residents and summer school participants). During the road closure, on-street parking will be removed from Center Street.

Weather permitting, the project is scheduled to be completed before the start of the 2025-2026 school year. Following the construction, the driveway closest to Eisenhower Elementary School will be realigned with 116th Street, along with the addition of pedestrian crosswalks, sidewalks, median installations, and dedicated bike lanes on Center Street from 117th Street to 113th Street.
