The City of Wauwatosa is honored to announce a $1,000,000 donation from the TOSA Foundation to support the flood recovery efforts at Hart Park.
The generous gift will be used to assist with repairs and restoration following significant damage sustained at the park during the unprecedented rain and flash flooding occurring August 9-10, 2025. City staff are currently evaluating the full scope of the damage and determining how best to allocate the funds.
“This summer’s flooding was devastating for Wauwatosa. We saw water levels and damage that will be remembered as one of the most significant events in our history,” said Wauwatosa Mayor, Dennis McBride. “This generous gift is a major boost for our community – financially and psychologically. It will help us to repair community spaces and to ensure that Hart Park remains a safe gathering place for generations to come. On behalf of the City of Wauwatosa and our residents, I want to extend our deepest thanks to the TOSA Foundation for its remarkable generosity.”
Hart Park sustained heavy damage to the stadium, softball field, green space, parking lot, equipment, vehicles, and park facilities. The City continues to work with engineers, inspectors, and partner agencies to assess conditions and coordinate repairs.
