The cities of Wauwatosa and West Allis recently received a joint study on the potential for shared fire and emergency medical services.
Based on the report, service levels will remain or improve, and it could save each city $7 million over five years. Without a merger, both cities would likely face cuts to services and staff.
No decisions have been made. We’ll discuss the findings more at meetings with elected officials and the public in September.
We encourage you to read the report and follow meetings. Visit the project webpage.
