Residents and business owners of Wauwatosa who were impacted by flooding in August 2025 may be eligible for federal disaster assistance through the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). Individual Assistance is available to help with costs that insurance does not cover, such as temporary housing, home repairs, cleaning and sanitizing, or limited replacement of personal property.

- Address at the time of the disaster and the address where you are now staying
- Your Social Security number
- A general list of damage and losses
- Banking information if you choose direct deposit
- If insured, the policy number or the agent and/or the company name
