Wauwatosa’s annual fall leaf collection kicks off Monday, October 13, 2025. Crews will make continuous rounds throughout the city through November, weather permitting.
What to Do with Your Leaves
- Place leaves at the curb either loose or in paper yard‑waste bags.
- Bags are accepted. Containers are not accepted.
- Keep other yard debris separate. Branches, grass clippings, pumpkins, and other materials jam equipment. We do not collect these items.
- Clear storm drains. Unclogged grates help prevent street flooding and protect local waterways.
- Try leaf mulching. Running a mower over dry leaves shreds them into nutrient‑rich mulch that disappears into your lawn. No raking required.
Other Tips
- Rake early and often, especially before windy or rainy weather, to ensure pickup on the next pass.
- Residents can also bring leaves to the Drop‑Off Center for a fee during posted hours.
