How was the park funded?

The park is 100% grant funded. There are no local property tax dollars in the creation of the park. The grants that funded the park include American Rescue Plan Act, Fresh Coast Green Communities, Green Solutions through the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, a state grant through the Department of Natural Resources, and a WDNR Urban Forestry Grant. 

The park entrance sign was 100% funded through a private donation with Waterstone Bank.
