Active Projects:

Wisconsin Avenue and 76th Street Traffic Signal Reconstruction 

Early October - Winter 2025

In early October, the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and 76th Street will close for traffic signal reconstruction. Learn more about the project.

Discovery Parkway Utility Work 

Early November - Mid-December 2025

Beginning in early November 2025, construction work will take place on Discovery Parkway for sanitary sewer improvements. The project is anticipated to continue through mid-December 2025.

During construction, the side road north of the UWM Innovation Campus will be an active construction zone and fully closed to traffic.

• Northbound traffic from Watertown Plank Road to Swan Boulevard will remain open.
• Southbound traffic will be closed from the roundabout near the Residence Inn to the UWM parking lot driveway on Discovery Parkway.

Access to the UWM Innovation Campus and Milwaukee County Parks Administration parking lots will be maintained through the UWM driveway, where a temporary left-turn access will be provided. 

Wisconsin Avenue Bridge Replacement over Honey Creek (DOT)

March - November 2025

68th - 72nd along Wisconsin Avenue 

Late March - October 2025

Utility and street improvements from 72nd Street to the west of 68th Street on Wisconsin Avenue, and on 70th Street from Wisconsin Avenue to Bluemound Road. Read more on the project webpage for Wisconsin Avenue and 70th Street Improvement Project.

Watertown Plank Road 2025 and 2026

March 2025 – November 2025 and March 2026 through Summer 2026

Alley Construction

Alley construction is anticipated to be from September 1st to October 24th, 2025.

We are installing one concrete alley, located at Harvard - Blue Mound / 109th -111th.

Center Street Improvement Project

Coming 2026
