We have several financial assistance programs available to businesses and commercial property owners in Wauwatosa. There is one program open to non-profits in Wauwatosa.

The Wauwatosa Revolving Loan Fund Corporation provides gap financing for businesses opening or expanding in the city, structuring a loan in way to best meet the business's needs.

Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Business Loan Program

These federal loan funds are available to new or expanding businesses that create jobs meeting federal program requirements.  Funds can be used for acquisition, limited equipment purchase and building renovations.

Tax Incremental Financing

The Tax Incremental Finance Law (TIF) was approved by the Wisconsin Legislature as an economic development tool that municipalities can employ to promote tax base expansion by using property tax revenues for specifically defined purposes.
