Sensory-Friendly Clinic

The Wauwatosa Health Department offers a sensory-friendly vaccine clinic to provide a positive, supportive and calm vaccine experience in a lower sensory environment. Those participating in a sensory-friendly vaccine appointment can expect flexibility, patience, and support all the way through the vaccination process.

Prior to your appointment, a social narrative will be available to help prepare for vaccination. During the visit, participants can expect a lower sensory environment, sensory fidgets, distraction strategies, and other individualized accommodations as needed.

Please call (414) 479-8939 to make a sensory-friendly appointment.

Immunizations

Immunizations are offered by appointment. Since the Federal Government has made significant changes to the criteria for obtaining vaccinations through a health department, all immunizations are subject to vaccine availability, the Wisconsin State Immunization Program guidelines, and our medical orders. To determine your eligibility for vaccines or to schedule an appointment, please call (414) 479-8939.

The Health Department also offers in-home vaccinations for individuals who are homebound. To schedule an in-home vaccination, please call 414-479-8939.
